Amber’s main objective is authenticity. Her philosophy is that fulfillment and contentment are found by embodying all that you are and molting all you are not. She weaves her knowledge, curiosity, creativity, and playful nature into everything she does.
Amber offers a comfortable environment for her students to cultivate mindfulness and understand the connection between their bodies, energies, and emotions.
Amber committed herself to a regular yoga practice in 2012 and was able to witness the beginning of an endless life transformation. Later, a yoga related injury taught her the importance of strength and engagement in her practice, opposite her usual “stretch as far as you can, and then some” nature. This opened Amber’s mind to the study of functional anatomy and utilizing creative modifications with props. She then understood one’s ability to advance in and unlock the creative potential of a yoga practice begins with a foundation of strength and control.
Amber trained through Urban Breath Yoga School in Saint Louis, Missouri gaining credentials of E-RYT500, RPYT and YACEP. In 2019, she completed a 25-hour Aerial YTT with Katie Tree at KC Yoga Kula and enjoys teaching Aerial Yoga around Kansas City.
Amber has experience working with a wide variety of body types, skill levels, health conditions, and teaches with an emphasis on Trauma-Sensitive techniques. When not on her mat, she enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, discovering great restaurants, and enjoying live music. She’s also a sucker for a good hike or outdoor adventure.
