Kelly Gough's style is eclectic; weaving Power yoga and Yin into Vinyasa Flow as well as Ashtanga Vinyasa. Her goal of each class is to assist students in discovering their deepest potential and connection to self in this sacred space we create on the mat, whether in asana, pranayama or meditation.
Kelly Gough found yoga in 2004 as a means of healing an injury and found herself falling in love with turning inward for growth during physically challenging yoga postures. Yoga has become a way for Kelly to share her love of the human anatomy and the body’s ability to find health and balance when treated with love. “The body wants to be whole, healthy, and in balance, we just get in the way with our good ideas” is a favorite saying of Kelly’s.
Mom of three truly remarkable kids, wife of one amazing guy, and dog & cat mom, she feels the most important life accomplishments are the relationships we build with others and with ourselves. Yoga is a part of the journey towards a positive, meaningful relationship with ourselves. Kelly’s classes provide an opportunity to listen inwardly, explore playfully, and face discomfort with love, acceptance, and understanding.
After completing her RYT 500 training at InBody academy under D’ana Baptiste, Kelly went on to study under Kaycee Dunfield, Jonny Kest, and Micah Scholes, giving her practice and classes a rich variety that centers around the premise that we need effort and surrender to feel whole. When not in the yoga studio you can find her on the cross country course cheering on her guys, in the park with the little lady and pup, or on the porch swing taking in a sunrise or sunset.
