In this highly acclaimed 5 week series with Amie Vilt you will learn the foundation knowledge of yoga practice and philosophy to prepare you to take yoga classes with confidence. Each class is a mix of lecture, discussion, learning and asana (poses). You will learn safe alignment for basic poses seen most often in hatha- style yoga classes and have an open, caring space to ask questions.
Each week will have a specific focus, but all classes will contain yoga poses, so please dress accordingly.
Week 1: yoga class etiquette and concerns
Week 2: breathing techniques
Week 3: yoga philosophy
Week 4: meditation and relaxation
Week 5: practice and putting it all together
Registration includes all 5 sessions and additional attendance at 2 regularly scheduled classes at Westport Yoga KC.
Pre-Registration is required by September 15, 2019. Minimum participants: 6; Maximum participants: 15. Please note, there are no refunds for this workshop.
