Join Sedona Alvarez for safe and accessible guidance through a half Yoga Mala of 54 sun salutations.  A Yoga Mala is a consistent string of sun salutations in which breath is linked with movement.  After experiencing this rhythmic moving meditation, we will come down to earth and dive further inward with a Yin yoga practice.  Yin is a lunar style of yoga in which poses are held for a few minutes at a time in a way that is supported and integrated to target the connective tissues of the body.  This is an all-levels class for everybody to enjoy in which options are offered and moments of rest are encouraged.

Fire is the most yang of the 5 elements in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  In nature, we see this fire energy represented in the peak of summer, as well as the peak of each day, where the sun is at its fullest and brightest expression.

Explore your fire energy by diving deep into the 8 personalities defined by yin and yang principles.

Then, we'll participate in Westport Yoga's Hatha Yoga class to build heat, confidence and strength.
